What you enter, and where it goes

In the app you can enter:

• your name, which is optional;
• your Handicap Index and, if you wish, your lowest handicap of the last 12 months;
• the history of your Score Differentials, with the date of each round;
• the tees you play, men’s or women’s;
• up to ten courses entered by hand — a name of your choosing, plus par, Course Rating and Slope — for courses that are not in the built-in list;
• for each round, if you like, the club, the course and the tees you played from: these are optional, they serve the statistics only, and no handicap calculation looks at them;
• competitions you prepare in advance — drafts — with the course you chose and the points you are supposing, until you confirm them or throw them away.

In pairs and team competitions you also enter your partners’ handicaps. Those numbers are not saved: they stay on the screen while you are using it and are gone when the app closes.

The app also keeps a few preferences: the language, the light or dark theme, the last club you chose, whether you want to see the reminder after each competition, and the date you installed the app.

All of this stays in your phone’s storage, in the area reserved for the app. None of it is sent to the developer or to any third-party service.

If you uninstall the app, that data is deleted along with it.

The backup

You can keep your data in three ways, all under your control: save it in the app’s own area on the phone, save it as a file wherever you prefer (iCloud Drive, another app, email), or share it as text. In the last two cases you choose the destination, and from that moment the file follows the rules of the service you chose — the developer does not receive it and does not know it exists.

Since 2026 the app also keeps an internal copy that updates itself, a few hours after you change your scores. That copy is a file in the app’s own area on the same phone: it never leaves it, it is not sent to anyone, and it disappears when you uninstall the app, like everything else. Its only job is to keep your record safe if something goes wrong.

Network connections

The app works entirely without a connection: the golf course data is included inside it and is never downloaded.

The only connection is to the servers of Expo (expo.dev), used to distribute updates to the application. That exchange checks whether a newer version exists and transmits nothing the player has entered.

No tracking

The app contains no behavioural analytics, no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no cookies and no profiling of any kind. It does not request access to location, contacts, camera, microphone or health data.

Children

The app is not directed at any particular age group, and collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. Since there is no data collection, no individual notice is foreseen.
